About Roomalert

Rooms go fast, and advertisements hide what matters.

A good room is often gone before you have seen the advertisement. And in the advertisement itself you have to search for what you want to know first: do you rent it indefinitely or for a while, and can you register there? Roomalert was made to solve those two things.

An Amsterdam canal on a summer day: trees along the quay, houseboats, and a small boat with two people seen from behind

What Roomalert does differently, and what it does not do.

The facts at the top

Every room shows its rental length and whether registration is possible. When we do not know, it says unknown.

A warning per room

When something looks like a scam, it says so above the alert. For now on one signal: a rent far below what is normal.

Respond without your number

Seeker and advertiser write through the bot. Neither sees the other's Telegram name or phone number.

Place a room for free

Whoever has a room places it themselves, with up to four photos. Every room is checked before it goes out.

Honest about the sources

The rooms come from people who place them themselves and from a small number of sites that allow a program to read them: Roofz and Woongroep.net for now. Roomalert does not read Facebook, Kamernet, Pararius or Funda.

No tracking

This website sets no cookies and tracks nobody. That is also why there is no cookie notice.
